ELIGIBILITY
When you register your child you will have to establish that you either live in West Side's catchment area or that the school your child attends is in our catchment.
The following zip codes are entirely in our catchment: 10023,10024,10025, 10069 . Parts of 10026 and parts of 10027 are in our catchment but parts are in Harlem Little League's catchment. To check on that please use the
Little League League Finder and enter either your home address or the address of your school.
There are TWO WAYS to establish eligibility: HOME or SCHOOL. (Note Home is preferred)
Note that you don't have to upload Proof of Residence or School Attendance at this time.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. HOME: IF you live in our catchment -- as most of you do -- CHOOSE HOME. Do not change it to School.
2. SCHOOL: IF you DON'T live in our catchment but go to school in our catchment -- CHOOSE SCHOOL, then find your school on the pre-loaded DROP- DOWN menu.

UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT:
In the fall, the League provides tee shirts and caps but not pants or socks.
All players must have their own mitts (WITH THEIR FULL NAME WRITTEN ON IT) and wear appropriate footwear-sneakers or plastic cleats (NO METAL CLEATS).
All male players ages 9 and up are required to wear an athletic supporter with protective cup.
Do NOT bring your own ball to the field. The League provides balls of appropriate hardness for the different age groups.
If you buy your child a bat, it must say USABat on it and be compliant with Little League Bat Rules.
If you buy your child a batting helmet, it must say NOCSAE on it, verifying that it is safe.
Boundaries
BOUNDARIES for participation in Little League can be found on the Little League website at Little League's League Finder. Players who live outside of these boundaries should contact the Little League in their area for more information.
NOTE: Exception to this rule is if your child attends school within our catchment area. A letter of proof from the school is required for new players who are claiming this exception. In addition, we accept players from outside our boundaries in our Special Needs Challengers Division and may accept players from outside these boundaries in our Softball divisions. If you have questions about your eligibility, please contact the League Registrar.
Player Assignment
Player assignment is at the discretion of the Division Heads, who aim to create balanced teams and to encourage competitive play. We do not as a rule accomodate specific placement requests. However, we cannot guarantee placement for players who can only play on one weekend day.
Player Participation
Players who anticipate missing more than 2 games SHOULD NOT register for WSLL. If any player does register and misses more than 2 games, rules about player usage WILL NOT APPLY to that player. If any player misses one game without notifying their Coach at least 24 hours in advance, rules about player usage WILL NOT APPLY to that player.
