EQUIPMENT:
1. All players must have their own mitts (WITH THEIR FULL NAME WRITTEN ON IT) and wear appropriate footwear-sneakers or plastic cleats (NO METAL CLEATS).
2. The League provides bats, balls, team batting helmets & catcher's gear.
3. If a player brings his/her own bat it must conform to Little League bat policy and be marked with the player's name. Below is a link to provide guidance in choosing an authorized bat: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/baseballbatinfo.htm

4. Players can bring their own batting helmet for personal use but it must say "NOCSAE Approved" and be marked with the player's name.
5. All male players ages 9 and up are required to wear a jock strap and protective cup.

UNIFORMS: In Spring the League provides each player with a jersey, baseball pants, socks and a baseball cap or visor.
Players are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear---either sneakers or NON-METAL cleats.

Fields Contribution: In cooperation with The New York City Parks Department and with the support of other users, including WSSL and Collegiate School, West Side Little League has finally realized our dream of having a new dedicated youth baseball field and adjacent multi-use fields at 103rd and at 107th Streets in Riverside Park. West Side Little League pledged a significant portion of the funds for this project, and our final installments on that pledge were paid in 2006. Consider making a SPECIAL FIELD CONTRIBUTION to the League this year, earmarking funds to our fields fund for the maintenance and improvement of our other ballfields throughout the West Side (Riverside, Morningside, DeWitt Clinton and Central Parks).
