West Side Little League (WSLL) is a non profit all-volunteer youth organization chartered by Little League Baseball. We run: Co-ed Baseball & Girls' Softball in the Spring and Fall, and a Co-ed Challengers Division (special needs) in the Spring only.

Spring 2026 Season Registration opens on Saturday, January 31st, at 10am!
Welcome or Welcome Back to the West Side Little League!
CALENDAR: The 2026 Spring Season will start in late March or early April, depending on your child’s age group, and will end the weekend of June 13-14th. Your child’s coach will let you know your start date, field assignment and schedule. Please do not reach out to the League for this information.
Winter Clinic - Winter Program started December 6th.
1. Martin Luther King Birthday: No clinics on Monday, January 19th.
2. Spring Break - No clinics from Saturday, February 14th through Friday, February 20th. Clinics resume Saturday, February 21st.
3. Last winter clinic is Friday, March 13th.
REGISTRATION for the 2026 Spring Season WILL OPEN AT 10am on Saturday, January 31st. REGISTRATION IS ON-LINE ONLY. The fee must be paid by credit or debit card when you register.
REGISTER RIGHT AWAY or else your child MAY NOT BE PLACED! We fill up early and, in the past, many children have been disappointed. In addition, if you register after MARCH 3rd, a late fee will be added.
DIVISIONS: A. Co-ed Baseball 1. Ages 6-16 (birthdates between 9/1/2009 and 8/31/2020)
2. Ages 17-18 (birthdates between 9/1/2007 and 8/312009 (for players still in high school)
There is a NEW PLAYER POLICY in effect. B. Girls Softball Ages 7-14 (birthdates between 1/1/2011 and 12/31/2018)
NOTE: Girls ages 15-18 ( Birthdates between 1/1/2007 and 12/31/2010)who are interested in being part of an older girls Softball team should contact the League Registrar. Please include your name, birthdate, home address, school and a brief description of your prior softball ( or baseball) experience. C. Challengers (Co-ed) – FOR SPECIAL NEEDS PLAYER ONLY ages 6 and up to age 30, born before 8/31/20. Players will be placed on teams based on age and ability.
REGISTRATION FEE: must be paid by credit or debit card at the time of registration.
$350 for registrations between January 31st, 2026 and March 3rd, 2026.
$425 for registrations after March 3rd.
There is a $3 fee for processing each credit card transaction.
The fee covers most of the cost of player and coach uniforms, team equipment, fields maintenance, umpires, administrative expenses, including League insurance costs and LL charter fees, and scholarships.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Players ages 11 and younger must be accompanied by 1 parent or responsible caregiver who will have to be present for the duration of the practice/game. Or ask another parent or caregiver to be responsible for their child if they step away.
- Players, ages 12 and older will need to bring a completed copy of the Medical Release Form to the first clinic and give it to their coach. VOLUNTEER requirements and positions.
EQUIPMENT: 1. Every player must wear or bring sneakers and bring their own mitt with their full name written in or on it.
2. Balls, bats, batting helmets and catchers gear will be available. But, If you bring your own batting helmet, bat and/or catchers gear you must write your full name in or on it.
3. Do NOT bring your own baseballs or softballs. They will be provided.
4. All male players ages 9 and up are required to wear an athletic supporter with protective cup under their uniform.

WEST SIDE 11U HAWKS WINS ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP!
WEST SIDE 11U HAWKS WINS ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP!
This weekend the 11U Hawks won the 11U West Division championship in the July 4th USABL Stars and Stripes tournament!
They will compete this week in the Little League 11u Sectionals Tournament in Staten Island.
WAY TO GO 11U HAWKS & GOOD LUCK IN SECTIONALS!
11U HAWKS WIN THE DISTRICT 23 CHAMPIONSHIP!
Coached by Dave Sikorjak, Harry Fujiwara and Jeff Perlman, West Side's 11u Hawks team beat Inwood Little League 7-2 to win the 11u District 23 Championship.
They now advance to the New York Sectionals, the next step on the way to the NY State Little League Championship.
Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents of this victorious Hawks team.
And good luck at Sectionals! Go West Side!
ANOTHER WEST SIDE FIRST: 17U WS Hawks wins 17/18U Diamond Nation Home Run Classic!
Our Hawks team went 4-0 and won the Championship game versus Frozen Ropes Rockies in double overtime. It was truly a team effort. Justin Diez was MVP as winning pitcher having pitched 6 scoreless innings.
Julian Glasgow was awarded MVP having gone 2-4 and hitting the walk off base hit that won the game.
It is the first time a WS Hawks team has ever won a Diamond Nation Tournament.
Other members of the team critical to its success were Brian Stone, Tyler McCarthy, Bennett Harrison, Ian Feliciano, Jonathan Stern, Zach Harner, Xav Lehmann, Eric Martinez, Emil Torres, Andrew Hurtado, Alex Trapani, Jaryel Meregildo.
10u HAWKS WIN the MEMORIAL DAY CHAMPIONSHIP for the FIRST TIME in WEST SIDE LITTLE LEAGUE HISTORY!
Congratulations to the players, coaches (Jeff Jack, Daniel Frankenstein, Alan Roemer and Brian Ogilvie) and parents of our 10u Hawks team for their dramatic victory over Inwood Little League.
Undefeated in the 4 tournament games leading up to the Championship, the Hawk's final game was a true nail-biter, requiring a rare 7th inning.
Down by 1 in the bottom of the 7th, our Hawks rallied and won with a walk-off hit.
Way to Go Hawks! We are so very proud of you!

Pepper Persley, WSLL Girls Softball Player Returns for her Third Year as ESPN's KidsCast Broadcast Reporter!
Pepper Persley is an 13-year-old reporter based in New York and host of Dish with Pepper. She has reported for ESPN's KidsCast of MLB's Little League Classic at the Little League Worlds Series in Williamsport.
NYC boy Kingston Nahm-Korn calls Mets game as SNY Kidcaster contest winner!
Kingston Nahm-Korn, a nine year old West Side Little League Rec and 9u Hawks tournament team player, was the winner of the Mets Kidcaster Contest this summer and received rave reviews from the entire Mets broadcast team.

WSLL has developed the following WSLL Code of Conduct that applies to all participants and spectators, in all divisions.
WSLL Medical Release Forms
Every player MUST give a completed WSLL Medical Release Form to their Coach at the first game or practice of the season. This form must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian. Coaches should bring these forms to every game and team practice.
