West Side Little League - Division Placement

WSLL DIVISION PLACEMENT

Fall 2026 Age Divisions:

AGE GUIDELINES FOR PLAYERS:When you register, your child will automatically be placed in accordance with the Little League Age Division parameters. Please see the Little League Baseball Division Age Charts. For some returning players who played either above or below their age group in the past, we will make any allowable changes AFTER registration.

REQUESTS:
NEW LEAGUE POLICY:

Team, Teammate or Coach Requests will NOT be considered for the following Baseball divisions as they hold player drafts to form teams: Majors, Intermediate 12-13 and Seniors 14, 15 &16. Drafts are mandated by Little League for these divisions to facilitate balanced teams and enable players to make new friends through Little League.
For all other Divisions, WSLL does not guarantee that team, teammate or coach requests will be fulfilled. Any request must be MUTUAL between ALL parties. If you are requesting that your child play with a friend, be sure that the friend requests your child as well.
a. Teammate Requests. Please provide the full name of the teammate you are requesting.
b. Coach Requests. Please provide the full name of the coach you are requesting.
c. Team Request. Please provide both the team’s name AND the name of the Division.

REGISTRATION:
When you register your child, you will be offered only the age division as shown in the Baseball and Softball divisions listed below. These are based on your child’s birthdate.
But if your child played in a division either above or below their age group in the past, please notify the League at this NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS: WSLLRequestToChangeDivision@gmail.com
Include your child's full name, complete birthdate and whether you are requesting a move up or down a division.
We will make any allowable adjustments AFTER registration closes.

This Season we will be registering the following age groups on-line:

DIVISIONS:

Co-ed Baseball – ages 6-16 (birthdates between 9/1/2009 and 8/31/2020)
A. CO-ED BASEBALL- ages 6-16 (birthdates between 9/1/2009 and 8/31/2020)
6’s birthdates 9/1/19-8/31/20
7's: birthdates 9/1/18--8/31/19
8's: birthdates 9/1/17--8/31/18
9-10's (Minors): birthdates 9/1/15--8/31/17 (NOTE: Based on skill level, some Little League 10 year olds will be moved up to join the 11's in Majors as per Little League guidelines.)
11's (Majors): birthdates 9/1/14-8/31/15
12-13's (Intermediate) : birthdates 9/1/12--8/31/14
14-16’s (Seniors): birthdates 9/1/09--8/31/12
NOTE: We will NOT be registering 17 and 18 year olds this Fall.
Girls Softball – Ages 7-14 (birthdates between 1/1/2011 and 12/31/2018)
Beginner Minors ages 7-8 1/1/2017--12/31/2018 Coach Pitch
10U Minors ages 9-10 1/1/2015--12/31/2016 Player Pitch
- If your daughter is age 9 but a beginner, she will be moved to Beginner Minors so she can develop her skills.
- If your daughter is age 10 but highly skill and/or experienced the Division Head may move her up to 12u Majors AFTER you Register.
12 U Majors 1/1/2013--12/31/2014. (10, 11 and 12 year olds.)
14U Juniors 1/1/2011-- 12/31/2012. (13- and 14-year-olds)

Please Note: NEW PLAYER POLICY– League policy for Baseball players new to the league: All new baseball players ages 10 and up must be evaluated before the start of the Fall 2026 season. This is to ensure the safety of players who are new to the league.
